I know there's a lot of debate on being yourself vs. best version of yourself. Here is why the basic sentiment is important:

You will slip up if you're "acting". And when you do, it results in breaking frame. The girls bullshit meter then goes off and she knows immediately you're trying way too hard. Makes you come off as needy because you have to resort to some archetype in order to present yourself with value.

Do you know why you slip up? Because when you're not yourself you have to constantly remain conscious of your actions. And you get inside your head. All of a sudden you're not in the moment with her, you're inside your own head trying to be this other person who you think she wants to interact with.

Take the slower road and the results will be much much better. Don't try to talk a certain way, change your cadence, act like one of your friends that gets laid... It's tempting but if you come natural and work on self improvement gradually your "self" will become desirable without you consciously trying to force a change.

Stop looking at porn, jerking off everyday, start working out everyday, eat better, drink more water, meditate, find a hobby, follow your passions even if you think they'll be perceived as "nerdy", and learn to have some more goddamn fun!

Oh, and approach approach approach. Daily. Do it so much it becomes boring.
