I was at the Dollar store, on my own. I'm a little older than some of the guys here (40), I've been separated for a couple of months from my ex (emotionally over her for much longer than that, trust me, the relationship was a f**king toxic nightmare). Anyways, still new at being single, certainly ready to get laid or have a casual fling with someone, but at that point had no idea how to go about it.

I was in line and a nice looking single mom type about my own age, just ahead of me in line, probably a 6.5, looked at me and pointed to the other checkout line and said, "do you think the other line will go any faster?" I looked at her and noticed she was attractive and something just clicked. I began to banter with her, I joked, "let's race!" It wasn't particularly sexually charged but she laughed, and then we began talking about her purchase for her son, having kids, other random things, I noticed there were no rings on her fingers (single mom) and her body language had her turning towards me, smiling, making eye contact. SHOWING INTEREST.

At the end of her purchase she was leaving and she looked back at me and paused, said, "nice talking to you." As she left I immediately knew I could have somehow converted that encounter into something else - I could have picked up this woman. But I had no idea what to do.

Fast forward to three days ago, a FB friend of mine sends me a link to an RSD video on "getting back into game." I've been reading and watching videos on this stuff ever since, it's all just clicked. I know what I need to learn and practice if I want to find life after divorce. I-CAN-DO-THIS.

Why don't they teach this stuff to boys when they are younger? It should be required curriculum.
