This year so far I've slept with 6 girls, mostly in holiday-like situations (girls visiting my city in California or me being on holidays) or girls I know through mutual friends. In general I'm no casanova, but not entirely unpopular either.

However I'm absolutely terrible at picking up girls from bars. As in, the last 5-10 times I went out I've only managed to kiss 1 girl, and she wasn't very hot. I've never been amazing at bars, but I feel I should be able to improve this. I do a decent amount of approaches but just find it really difficult to get things going anywhere. It's mostly just brief conversations and I feel I'm getting almost no indicators of interest from the girl.

Anyone have a similar problem where they are OK with girls, but not at picking up in bars? Any advice?
