Hi, so I'm 20 years old and throughout my whole life I've either relied on girls to make a move on me or waited for it to "just happen".

I've never really been able to express interest in a girl other than by just going for a kiss or telling her straight-out. A couple of times I've been too scared to do even that and wound up missing some opportunities. Although I'm rather content with my sex life, I want to learn how to generally let a girl know that I'm interested in her and how to be more smooth in making a move.

Sometimes I feel like I don't want to overstep boundaries, don't want to somehow "ruin" our friendship, but part of me knows that these are just excuses.

I am interested in a girl at the moment. I've only known her for a few weeks, but I've picked up hints that she is into me, she text me out of the blue sometimes (she even asked for my number before I had the chance to ask for hers), but I just can't seem to figure out how to express my interest in her, or doing so casually, without being cheesy or weird.

She's fucking gorgeous, and well...we work together at my university, which is yet another obstacle.

Anyway, I just wanted to know if you guys had any techniques for showing interest in a girl without being too overt. Sometimes being brash can be good, I guess, but it's not really my style. I want to be able to bring it up without having to go in for a kiss or being like, "Hey, you're hot, let's fuck".
