This is my first year in university, and I've been building solid contact with someone. This person (let's call her Emmaline) is giving the right kind of signals, and has tried to get closer to me at parties. However, for a solid two weeks I have been unable to remember her name.

And it's helped immensely.

Every time I forget her name, and it becomes clear, she seems to come back with stronger signals than before. Can anyone explain this, or at least give some advice/reasoning behind it?
