I will preface this by saying that I have a tendency to over think/read to much into things when it comes to women. I have only been in LTR's, with not much time between. Been single for 3-years now and feel ready to "get back on the horse" again.

So over the festive period, I decided to give Tinder a go. (I wasn't really looking for anything to come of it, so I employed the "swipe right to everyone" technique.

So I end up talking to a girl, eventually it leads to phone numbers, and we begin texting. (My text game is terrible, especially if I haven't met the person and have no idea of limits/boundries) However, it escalates to a skype video call and further to arranging a first date.

So date night was last night, things get off to a rocky start. I ended up meeting her an hour later than planned, due to logistical issues. But she understood as wasn't left waiting on her own for that hour as she was with friends before meeting me.

I walk in to the pub, find her in a corner at the back, she stands up to hug me and I giver her a gift I had brought for her that was specific to a conversation that we had via text, she thanks me and we continue. The date goes well, we talk, we laugh etc, not much physical contact due to where we were sat (I could have made an effort here, but she had already mentioned that she doesn't trust people easily, so didn't want to overstep her boundries and make her feel uncomfortable). I deliberately led the conversation in such a way that we spoke a lot about her (though I feel this may have been a bad move as I didn't share very much). Though there were no awkward pauses.

It quickly rolls around to the pub closing (I have no idea where those 3 hours went), and we decide to leave. We take a walk along the river in the direction of the train station, conversation is still going smoothly. We bump into some people unloading rowing boats (the type they have on the rivers in Cambridge) and she says "I wonder if they are heavy" I make her laugh by saying, we should ask if we can help so you can find out (I should have gone with this and done it, it would have shown spontaneity).

We continue on to the train station, catch the train to her stop (we both need to change trains to go in different directions) she gets up to say goodbye and I say "I'll stay with you and see you off", she smiles and says "thank you". We get to her platform, conversation still hasn't dried up, her train arrives, she gets on, we hug, she kisses me on the cheek, then BAM!!! A women attempting to board the train in her drunken state falls out of the train and into me. So I do the natural thing of helping her up and back into the train, just in time for the doors to close.

My date goes and sits down in her seat, I wait around to wave her off (not sure I should have done this, may have come across as clingy), I do so and head off to catch my train. (She was also worried that I might miss the last train, so she kept mentioning that I was going to miss it. Not sure if that was because she just wanted to get rid of me by this point or if she actually cared that I may miss my train). I text to let her know I made my train and to see if she got home ok, she replies that she's glad I made the train, she got home ok and good night :) (paraphrased slightly).

I text her this morning to follow up on a conversation we had about each others plans today. She replies, and I now know that she is fairly busy most of the day, so I don't expect any further texts from that point and leave it at that.

She texts when she is finished what she is doing, and we talk about plans for the evening, as we both just wanted to relax. I mention that it was 'great' to meet her last night and thank her for showing a part of the town that I had not seen before (referencing conversation from the date), she then says "It was nice to meet you too :) Anytime (referencing her showing me around a bit)".

So here is where I need some advise. Has she gone cold? Or am I reading too much into it? I'm thinking it's the latter, and she probably just wants to unwind after the long day she had. But your thoughts would be helpful.

To finish up: I enjoyed the time I spent with this girl, and would like to see her again. I'm not sure how to go about making it to a second date after today feeling like such a bust. Advice here would also be appreciated.

TL;DR Met a girl from Tinder, text conversation was smooth, skype call, went on a date, everything seemed to go well, we both had a busy day today, texts have been reduced in frequency and content. Has she gone cold, or am I reading too much into it? Advice request on how to escalate to second date.
