I'm 19 years old. Over the last 2 years, I have not gone on a single date and before that I had only had 2 short and painfull relationships (with girls I met online). I started taking classes at a community college and recently started working at a grocery store and I thought maybe I’d meet someone at one of those. I used to be really reserved and quiet, but, now I’m much more sociable and able to hold decent conversations (while I still like to keep to myself).

Unfortunately, every girl that seems appealing in some way already had a boyfriend. It likely isn’t the typical “I have a boyfriend” lie so I won’t date them, sometimes I just ask “how was your weekend?” and get the response “It was good. My boyfriend and I BLAH BLAH BLAH” or I overhear them say something about their bf in a conversation with somebody else. Along with that, most of my friends are in relationships (if they aren’t, then they are good at picking up girls and are switching thru different girls every month), so when I hang out with them, it is kind of awkward and I get the feeling that… I’m not where I should be… along with the overall lonely feeling I usually have. Same with family, all my cousins around my age have been in fairly long relationships. I don’t know how I’m supposed to get thru this and find someone I love who actually loves me back. If you can give me any help I’d love it.
