My gay best friend who is newly married always tells me he started "saving it" and not jerking off, and he has better sex. I do think there is something to be said for cutting back. I just know for me personally if I try to stop completely I get ravenous. But its that built up sexual energy that drives you to find a release. If you just released it at home, you dont have that same energy pushing you to approach women.
