My normal speaking voice is relatively high. I sing competitively as a bass, a voice that is far lower than my speaking voice, and my singing coach told me that the voice I use to speak isn't my real voice and told me that I sound far more beautiful when I speak in a similar way that I sing. I tested it out at school today and some people were almost shocked by my change in voice or thought I was artificially lowering my voice. One of the teachers who I have a great relationship with joked that I would get all of the ladies with that voice.

I am not sure whether to continue using my old, higher voice or switch to the lower one. The higher one is more natural for me, but the lower one sounds better. If I switch, how should I explain the sudden change? Thanks you for you advice.
