Confidence is probably the most important thing. Even if you might be scared, don't show it, it will make a world of a difference. A great opportunity to ask her is after a good conversation(in person obviously). Maybe even give her a compliment on how she looks pretty. Then, just look her damn straight in the eye, and ask her if she'd like to go to XYZ with you on a specific day, if you just say "Do you want to go to the movies with me?" You'll leave out important details that could make a difference, compared to offering a specific day. If she says no, chin up, this is a numbers game and you'll find someone else. Don't be visibly butthurt even if you are, manage a smile and say that you'd still like to be friends. If she says yes, play it cool and don't freak out, but show you appreciate her and her decision. I have no problem building attraction, holding conversations, etc; I just can't ask a girl out for the life of me. I don't know what to say, and where to potentially take her.

Look, this is both simpler and more complex than you think. All you have to do is PAY ATTENTION to the girl. She'll hand you all the information you need to figure out where you might take her.

As for how to frame it when you "ask her out," there is one strong way to frame it when you ask her out. You set it up where you are going to go do something you love doing, or go to some place that you love, and then you simply invite her to join you. That's it. So when you tell her about it, you can be excited about it. And if she can't go, you still have a good time.

This is much better than turning it into some outing that she shoots down or not.

Thing is, I met this new girl at work. We've barely conversed; we usually see each other as she's leaving for the day, and I'm just starting. I only see her once a week but the last time we had time to chat, it felt intimate and she was blatantly dropping IOIs. I'll be sure to implement these tactics the next time I see her!

Look, forget about this business of cross-checking her behavior for IOIs. If you keep this up, you're going to find yourself in your head and the girl long gone, before you finally realize that she was into it.

Just think about if you enjoy the conversation. If you do, then invite her to join you in doing something or going to some place cool. If she says yes, then exchange numbers. (Don't just take hers or give yours. Do both.)
