About me: Kind of a lurker here. 36, consultant for the telecom industry. Lots of short international trips. I'm about a 6.5-7 in looks. Usually focus on closing via text, Tinder, anything chat-based (usually my strength). Sorry for the throwaway - have to be discreet because of my job.

Setup: On a business trip from the US for a few days. I do the standard Tinder routine: Sign up for Plus, put up a profile that indicates I'm looking for something very casual (Here on business, looking for a fun girl, nothing serious, etc.), and then just hammer on that heart throughout the morning and on my lunch break the day before (I set the location to my destination ahead of time). I actually ran out of cards after a few hours of this (maybe 3,000 or so swipes? Not a huge city and I don't think Tinder is as popular here as the States).

By the evening the next day I had close to 200 matches. Went through them all, unmatched anyone below a 7 or so, and messaged the rest (maybe 50). Many of these were just "Uh oh - this girl looks like trouble. :)" type stuff, but the girl from the FR was a stunner (probably 8.5), so I put a little more thought/work into it. She's also young - 23. You'd think this would be limiting for someone my age, but when you think about it, the fact that we matched means she's explicitly set her filter to see guys my age. When a girl is messaging a guy 13 years her senior, she's usually up to no good. :)

So picking up from the above, I was maybe 50% sure that these girls were going to show. Now at this point it would have been a fuckup to write back after a few hours asking "Still coming?" "ETA?" etc. You just have to walk away. I actually went to sleep and turned my alarm way up. Sure enough, around 1:30a I'm woken up by an incoming text:

I get a text that the girls are downstairs. I contemplate just asking them up, but I figured if they knew my room # and didn't come up, they're expecting me to come down to make sure I'm not a psycho. So I head down.

Let's call them Amy and Beth (A and B) - Amy was the girl I was chatting with, Beth is her friend. Amy's an 8-8.5, brunette, tall, really thin (probably even thinner than my taste), but stunning. Beth is blonde, just as tall, curvier than Amy but still really fit (I swear everyone here is into extreme sports. It's intimidating for an American), big breasts and a huge smile. She's a solid 8, too, and it seems like she's the one kind of calling the shots. Beth is going with Amy to the states and looks like a total party girl.

We get some drinks in the lobby bar and start talking dirty pretty quickly. They're somewhat sauced, but not sloppy. We chat about the States, about Tinder, about threesomes. I'm playing it cocky/cool but basically just being my depraved self. I was doing this before the PUA movement, so I don't have any formal training or anything - Just instinct honed over about 20 years. We finish our drinks and head upstairs.

I'll spare you the dirty details, dear readers, but it was basically a depraved porn movie after that: Double BJ, doing coke off each other, and basically partying until the sun started to show.

So a few lessons here:

It's a numbers game. I "swiped" about 3,000 to get to the 1 that closed.
Don't get discouraged by girls with prior commitments, out with friends, a taxi ride away, etc. Be persistent, but not obnoxious, because...
You usually have to walk away from something you really want at least once. The girls need to convince themselves that they're after you, not vice versa. You need to make them feel like they're in control, and even relinquish control if it makes sense. That's how it's always been for me, at least.
There were a lot of rare coincidences here - Girls leaving for a long trip in 24 hours, bisexual girls looking to party, a guy with a great accent (to them) also only in town for a few days (inherently NSA), etc. etc. But that's why you play the numbers. These girls are out there; It just takes a lot of digging sometimes. But Tinder makes the numbers game drop-dead simple.
