Dancing with girls in clubs when I have a long distance girlfriend

Hey man, I'm in a similar situation this summer where I've entered in my first LDR of sorts so hopefully my advice is relevant.

To answer your questions directly:

I wouldn't feel comfortable telling my girlfriend that I do this, does that make it a wrong thing to do?

Yes. Communication and trust go a long way in a relationship. If you care about her (and yourself), you should be honest with her (and yourself).

Has anyone else been in the situation where they're in an LDR and do similar things to satisfy your need for a bit of physical contact?

Like you said, this subreddit isn't really for moral guidelines per se, but speaking as someone in the same position -- I did express this concern with my lady friend. Let's face it, sex is a big component of a relationship. However, just ask yourself how you would feel if she was doing similar things. You can go out and have a good time but there should be a threshold you shouldn't cross. Now one year is a lot longer than the summer that I have to deal with but I think there are other ways to release your sexual energy. Yeah, not having physical intimacy sucks but that's what a committed relationship brings.

And in general, do you guys think this is unfair to my girlfriend?

TL;DR YES, but I can see how others think otherwise
