Is there any other possible zone really? I'm interested especially in knowing if there is a "we're sort of friends now but attracted to each other and maybe we'll be something more someday when our lives are better suited to dating, so we'll keep pretty close but without any exclusivity" ...zone (for lack of a better term).

Has anyone had any success with this (example: say you're going away to school for a few years and don't want to do long distance but still want to keep up the attraction), and if so, got any practical tips or resources???
