Today I went out gaming with a fellow PUA and I noticed some things he did which made him a great wingman. Here is what I observed:

  1. One of you opens the set, while the other isolates. This sounds confusing, but what it is is one of you stops the set in their tracks with a question or a statement, and the other one starts to chat up one of the girls in the set, leaving the other girl for the wing.

  2. Wings do not steal sets. Whoever calls it first gets the privelege of approaching the girl. If one guy calls it, the only thing the wing should do is to help the other wing out in case the conversation gets stale.

  3. Wings introduce each other. A good wing will speak volumes about you, vouching for you, which goes a lot farther than you vouching for yourself. So it is always a good idea to know your wing and know his background, so you will be capable of helping him out.

  4. Bros before hos. When you are gaming, your main goal should be to establish rapport with your wing. It is a fun activity which bonds men. Secondary is to get numbers and subsequently lays.

  5. A wing is not afraid to criticize and collaborate with his friend. Constructive criticism is necessary for improvement, and a wing is a great person to view and give that critique. Don't be afraid to tell your wing what he did right as well as wrong.

These are the top 5 rules I came out of with a recent encounter with a PUA. Feel free to add any input you think is necessary.
