None of that applies when she is on bc. Bc makes her body think that she's pregnant. She will find care-giving and provisioning behavior (beta) to be attractive. When she goes off bc, she will suddenly find that she and her partner 'grew apart' or 'he's boring' or 'he can't communicate with me' or some other such nonsense that you'll find in surveys of divorced women. The reality is that when off bc she craves the alpha, and if the bf is accustomed to being all beta, then he's screwed unless he knows this and can modify his behavior quickly and radically.

Woman's perspective: I take a low-dose both control pill, and have not found it to effect my preference toward alpha and beta behaviors. Neither has my husband. YMMV, but changing between b/c and no hormones may not affect all women as drastically. All I notice is a surge in desire, either going on them, or coming off them /shrugs
