Competition is tough. I approached a girl, then went back to my seat. Not 2 minutes later, another guy approached the same girl. Even though she gave her number to both of us, it taught me that competition is out there, and anything and everything you can do is necessary. Here is a list of quick ways to get better at yourself and your game.

  1. Get a manicure. You need to have clean nails. When I approach women, I am always shaking their hand, or using my hand to gesture. A clean hand goes to show you are better then those who don't take hygiene seriously.

  2. Compliment. This will come in handy later on when you text her. If I tell a girl she is beautiful, I will text her "It's the beautiful Jane! ..." This is how I bring the conversation back to the text.

  3. Go for the instadate. If you can get her on a date immediately by shifting locations, this is ideal. It is a much bigger win than the chump who only goes for the number.

  4. Tell her you like her style. Women spend a lot of time preparing and getting ready, and showing you appreciate that goes a long way.

  5. Be genuinely interested in who she is. If she is a track runner, show clear interest in that and get her to talk about it. If she is from Switzerland delve deeper into this with her.

  6. Text her within an hour of meeting her. If she is attractive, she will give her number out to many dudes. You want to catch her attention while you are still fresh in her memory.

  7. Dress every day as if you were going on a date. Because you never know if you will meet that special one and actually go on that instadate.

  8. Ask for the date. If she says no / that she has a bf, ask for the Facebook. If she says no to that, ask for the email. This is the chain that you should follow if you are interested in a girl and think there is a chance if you are able to keep in contact with her.

  9. For the love of God, exercise. Exercise is the best thing you can do for yourself. Women will choose the guy who is in shape over the one who isn't. Go out there and run. Join a sport. Do something so you at least mentally feel better.

  10. Treat each approach like it is practice for the next approach. Each one builds upon itself, and there is always room for improvement. Don't take any single girl too seriously, and rack up as many numbers/Facebooks/emails as you can.

These are just some of the tips I would recommend in order to beat out your competition and get better at pickup. Improvement requires practice and effort to improve yourself. Both of these combined will create a powerful force.
