There's no secret here. She has issues that need to be dealt with. Either talk to her more and get her to be comfortable or move on. I'd go with the latter as there's a world full of awesome people out there who have their shit together. It's not your job to save anyone in particular - she has family, close friends and other support opportunities for that. At the same time, don't "fuck her over" as that would make it all worse for her. Say how you care about her and sex is important to you (as it is to everyone) and if she can't open up to you and be vulnerable, you can't be with her anymore. If you dump her after having sex though, you're an asshole. I'd still break up with her right away though - there must be many other issues going on with self confidence that will only bring you trouble. She needs time alone to figure life out.

Thanks for the advice.
We've talked about it a lot and she said she will be ready eventually because she wants it too - I do think this would be some time soon.
I think I have a part to play in making her fears fade in the face of her wanting sex, and this is the advice I would be looking for how to do this.
All other aspects of the relationship are brilliant and this isn't a reason to break up over.
