Have been trying to have a 'dont give a fuck' attitude. But later i'll regret my actions. How do i stop doing this?

Often, when working to overcome social anxiety it is easy to equate "not giving a fuck" with "not questioning my actions", this is a mistake.

With this line of thinking, you may act inappropriately because you may believe that the key to "not giving a fuck" and shutting down insecurity, is to stop monitoring your actions in order to silence doubt and anxiety.

Real confidence and freedom from social anxiety doesn't come from the cessation of monitoring our behavior, instead almost the exact opposite turns out to be the case. Confidence comes from being conscious of our behavior, consciously monitoring our decisions, and being secure in how we are acting. Real confidence is a product of well thought out actions and confidence that stems from the belief that the way we are acting is appropriate for the situation.

I really recommend anyone struggling with social anxiety to read "The Six Pillars of Self-Esteem". It personally helped me so much in overcoming some of my own self-esteem issues.

You should ask them how they feel about it and anything they notice. That way you can gauge whether your attitude is changing in the direction you want to go.
