Every so often I'll come across a comment either on here, YouTube or some other site that says something to the effect of "Don't call it a date. You're just hanging out." I can't point to a specific post right now, but I've seen it enough times to suggest that it's a fairly popular opinion.
My personal view is that being upfront about calling it a date shows intent. You're not shying away from the fact that you're interested. "Hanging out" may even cross a few wires and she won't totally pick up on the fact that you're interested.
Could someone explain the thinking behind "hanging out?"
