I am currently studying in a university and there is a girl which I am attracted to. We started off as strangers but we were able to strike meaningful conversation right off the bat.

Sometimes she would also lean in to me when whispering a joke or nudge me playfully when I tease her back. Last week she asked me about schoolwork which I promised to get back to her when I could solve it. When I did text her on a weekend regarding her schoolwork problem, she mentioned she was out and thanked me in advance for the solution I provided. The next day, she followed up with a clarification in which I also responded promptly.

What I really want to know is if she is even remotely interested in me (or even single as a matter of fact) because we are Asians and traditionally we are less spontaneous and open to dating as compared to Europeans/Americans.

Also, I am torn between going in the aggressive by suggesting study sessions/getting closer to her with the risk of her telling me she is attached (happened before), or playing the patient game since I still have approximately 8 weeks of classes with her. Ideally I am also waiting for her to initiate the texting since it is barely 2 weeks since we know each other and I don't want to come off as being overly aggressive.
