Hey guys so 2 different convos/situations that i could use your help on. For context im on a dating site

Convo 1: Girl seems cool. Message back and forth and get her number yesterday. Once i get her number, i ask her out this weekend and she said shes busy this weekend. So im just like its all good have a good weekend. Then shes like yeah you too, maybe another time.

So thats the end of that convo. My question is how should i pick up the conversation again? I feel like ill text her mon or tues or something to give her space and not seem needy. Also to note, she took a long time responding during texts so maybe shes not that interested.

Convo 2: Message back and forth with this girl talking about the usual stuff like hobbies, interests etc. she lives in a different city A i live in city B but city C is between the both of us and we visit pretty often.

So i told her to shoot me her number so that next time shes in city C we can go grab some food. She replied with i definitely will but didnt give her number.

So a couple more messages back and forth and i ask if shell be in city c this weekend. Shes like nah im busy working. So we just message back and forth once or twice more and i tease her saying im glad shes not a hipster or else we wouldnt get along and she responds haha no way.

She doesnt really leave me much else to go on. What should i do next. I feel like ill pick up the convo monday or something, but what should i say? Ive asked for the number already and she ignored it, and then i asked her if she was coming to the city and she said she was busy this weekend. Not sure what else to do.

Sorry for the long post guys, but your insight/advice would be appreciated as im new to this and been in a ltr for a long time so im really rusty
