Still take care of yourself. Shower, shave, get haircuts. Learn how to dress yourself in proper fitting clothes and take some pride in your appearance. It makes a massive difference in how you are perceived by others. People won't see you nearly as unattractive if it appears that you care about yourself, compared to giving off the impression of apathy.
