I just produced and directed my first debut documentary on Amazon Prime. Is it any good? Some reviewers seem to think so. Why did I make it? I guess it was my secret affair with the whole concept.

In 2005 I watched the film Hitch with Will Smith, not long after I read The Game by Neil Strauss. About 5yrs later I saw a doc on Pick-Up, it portrayed a dark notion on the subject matter. Then I’d see ‘pick-up’ mentioned in mainstream films and dramas with a negative view, was it really that bad? My documentary sees me sit with the everyday man to millionaires in both the US and UK. Every mans motives are different, some wanted to get laid, get a girlfriend and some get married. I found that some instructors certainly portrayed an exaggerated caricature of themselves, is this what the student warmed to? “This will improve my chances with women” said one 28yr Techie attending a $4000 workshop in Las Vegas learning from Mystery aka Eric Von Markovick & Shaun Michael.

Overall the response to my Doc has been very positive from current viewers, and the subject is out there for debate. I’m all for self development and I believe like with most things in life if your intentions are good - you’ll have great outcomes no matter what you do.

This documentary is not dark - I tell it how it is from a very neutral standpoint.
