Hey, guys

It's been sometimes since I was back in the dating game, almost a couple of years at this point, and I'm looking to get my footing. That being said, I'm not quite sure where to start. I've never tried any online dating, like Tinder, Bumble-- all that stuff, and although I find it a bit intimidating, I'm willing to give it a shot. Following that, I'm a bit rusty at approaching. I used to be alright at it, but I don't seem to hear much positive feedback on this from friends. Most of the stories I hear involve the guy being perceived as a 'creep,' and I rarely here stories about friends and people meeting their SO, or s FWB through a cold approach. So, is online dating the route to go, or is straight up approaching still a good option? Would love to hear anyone's thoughts!
