I'll try to keep this short, but I probably won't be able to. Some might think this isn't for /r/seduction , but I think it goes hand in hand, at least to some extent.
None of my interests or hobbies have anything to do with the environment which is obligatory for me at the moment - which is school. Some might say "highschool isn't obligatory", and while that is true, in reality it's probably not, considering I'll need my diploma for potential opportunities in the future...
I'm by no means a horrible student, I go to a top 5 school in the country, and I have to say - I hate it. I hate the school's environment, there is absolutely no subject that interests me, so It's obviously hard for me to find any motivation to do anything regarding the subjects, but in the end, I somehow half-ass it and finish the year with something like a 70%+ out of 100% grade. Due to a lack of motivation or not being prepared for a test, I sometimes skip school, which, of course, then snowballs into me having more shit to do, makes me generally more unhappy and lack of knowledge for some tests, which obviously leave a dent on my marks.
So my question is - is it even possible for me to become confident, full of energy and everything good that comes with being happy with one-self if 5 days out of a week I have to live in this environment for about 1/3 of my day, and then I have to get ready for the next day. I don't have time for my hobbies if I want to focus on the school work (and by hobbies, I don't mean video games or something like that anymore, it's designing, programming and MAKING games, and I'm almost sure I'll be able to get a project done and start actually making money by the end of the summer, that's how sure I am about this thing working, cause I don't even care that much about the outcome, it's not out-come focused, but I do know that I will succeed).
However, I have to deal with my parents who will obviously tell me school > everything, etc. I feel like I'll need to prove them wrong.
And to you guys saying that education is important, I'm by no means saying that it isn't. School shouldn't interfere with my education. Just because I don't like school doesn't mean I don't like learning, at least about the things that I like. I feel like there's a difference between laziness and that. I want to learn, but I have no motivation to learn anything that I'm currently learning in school. Even if I did get my "shit" together and started putting a lot of focus in, I doubt better grades would make me happier in general.
sigh... just 13 months to go...
What are your thoughts on what I should do in this situation?
