I had a very successful date tonight with a 19 yr old beautiful girl who I had been friends with and eyeing from my school for the last few months. I am satisfied with almost every interaction, but I have a few questions regarding how to handle some specific awkward instances.
1.Most of the shit tests were pretty standard, and I addressed them in a witty way to the point where she actually said, "You are so good with words. I wish I could do that!"
However, there was one I had trouble with. The girl told me, "when I first met you, I thought you would be my gay best friend." I found it a bit weird, so I responded, "Oh, I actually assumed you were a lesbian." I gave a shit eating grin. She kept asking me what made me think that. I tried to dodge the subject, but she kept coming back to it. Eventually I said, "You know how I have a flirty personality? Well when I first met you, you responded in a way where I could kind of tell." She admitted she was bi to me before, but she then said, "maybe your move just didn't work on me." I replied, "It wasn't that. I can tell when a straight girl doesn't like it. This was different."
Anyway, I changed the subject. How could I have handled (probably the worst moment of the date) better.
2.We were watching a movie at my place together later. I offered her a massage which she accepted. She then said, "How are you so good at this." I replied, "Let's just say this isn't my first massage." Was this good or bad?
3.How do I stop a girl from using me as her emotional tampon? This wasn't a problem too much with this date, but more so in general. I want to shake the girl and say, "Get your own fucking psychologist, not me."
Instead, I usually just change the subject by telling a story. For example, tonight the girl was clearly insecure about her love handles. I mentioned them while I was massaging them in a positive way and this triggered her. This girl is actually amazingly fit and an internationally renowned athlete. I am also athletic, I work out with her, and I am super skinny (18 yrs old 6'2'' and 165 lbs). I told her a story about a girl I was with who kept grabbing for my love handles and found nothing there. I joked about how I felt bad for her because she would just not stop looking for them and grasping onto air. Is there a better way I could have handled this.
4.This girl's eyes were so beautiful. I could not look away. She kept asking me what I was doing, and I just said her eyes were pretty. Then I teased her by asking her what she was doing when I caught her looking at me from my peripheral vision. Is there something else I should have said? Was this ok?
5.The girl knew I had hooked up with some girls in the past because she had seen hickeys on my neck last week. I asked her if she hooked up with guys, and she said no one but her ex boyfriend. She explained that she doesn't find a guy attractive until she gets to know his personality. We talked about the difference between guys and girls. Since she was bi, she said she found looks more important when looking at girls. I asked her what she found attractive in a personality, and she didn't know. She then asked me and I said, "tits" with a huge shit eating smile. I held eye contact, and she laughed hard. Was this too weird? Was there a better move here?
6.I am a great singer, and girls often ask me to sing for them, but I don't want to get into dancing monkey mode. Still, I love to sing. What should I do?
Thanks for the help.
