I wanted to ask what are good places to meet nerdy girls. More specifically girls who like Anime and video games. But please do not say conventions. I just came back from the Los Angeles Anime Expo, AX, this past weekend as a volunteer and tried to socialize and flirt with a lot of girls during my free-time but ultimately no dice. To be honest I'm so good at flirting. At the Anime Expo whenever I came up to a girl I complemented her on her cosplay and then asked if this is her first year at AX and what kind of panels she hopes to attend but I can clearly see by her body language that she's not interested in me so I wussy out and tell her to have a nice day and leave.

But anyway during my time at AX 2017, I've noticed that there were a lot of couples at the convention. I always thought that an anime convention would be the best place to meet nerdy girls but it turns out that isn't the case as most of the girls that I talked to were either too tired to talk due to all the walking, in a rush to attend a panel, or glued to their cellphones in line and not interested in conversation at all.

Does anyone know of any good places to meet nerdy girls? I'm 24 years old, weigh 167 lbs, and am 5"8 so I'm pretty average. I was thinking about going back to my old college anime club later this year once the new school year begins. Where exactly do nerdy girls go to hangout? I assume a lot of them are introverts and stay inside so I can turn to online dating but I've had no luck on websites such as maiotakuke, soulgeek, or even okcupid. /: Should I just try hangout at book stores and college campuses to find nerdy girls to flirt with?
