Believe me I know this is a weak position to be in but it's where I'm at and I like this girl. I don't expect much from this but fuck it I'm going to try anyway and was hoping for tips to boost my odds.

Met her at a graduation bbq. This was a family event. Both our families where around us the whole time so I didn't feel very comfortable flirting much. Sure maybe a better man could have done more with the situation but that's how it was. I had to unexpectedly leave early to drive my sick grandpa home. I'm not sure she even noticed I was leaving. When I came back her and her family were gone. I was very dissapointed because I wanted to get her alone and at least get her number but I just didn't make it happen, oh well. The good news is someone else gave me her number. I doubt she knows I have it. I'm going to the city this weekend for a friend's bday, i know she goes to the city as well. I would like to text her to see if she wants to come with or meet me alone for drinks or coffee or something.

What's my strategy? I'd like to reduce the risk of creeping her out and try to flatter her for going out on a limb like this, cause that's what it feels like I'm doing. My ultimate goal is just to meet her for real and hang with her in a more natural environment. I just want to see if she's the kind of girl I'm hoping she is, I'm not gonna try to bang her in my friends apartment during his bday lol.

Again I know this is a weak position but let's just accept that and move on and use what I got.
