We know that improving yourself can potentially make you better with women but can it give you better and more high quality friends (of both genders) as well?

Especially once you're out of a high school or college setting.

We know that getting in better shape, making more money, and getting a nicer career can potentially make you a magnet for some decent looking women out there.

That being said, say you were the kind of guy that came from poverty where most people you were around were sketchy or not really the kinds of people you would want to associate with and you only became wealthier after the age of 25, well after most people are done with school and no longer in that sort of a setting.

Does improving the quality of your life get you higher quality friends too or are friendships set in stone by the time you get to your 30s?
