When on a date, do you find yourself wandering to the same convo topics with most girls, or does it really depend on the girl?

I personally use pretty generic topics, and attempt to branch off in to more niche/ specific conversation topics, but some girls either don't open up enough for that, or don't really share much interest in many topics outside of the typical generic ones.
