Here's the thing. Texting more, is probably not what you did. You probably ended up texting WAY more to the point where it came off excessive, when they simply wanted a little more accessibility.

However, this case you're writing about, really has fucking zero to do with texting and more to do with the girl herself. Spoiler alert: It's really not your fault, so cut it out blaming yourself.

confessing that she really liked me and wants a serious relationship with me. She said she wants to talk to me more often....

......she started texting me MUCH more than usually.

....then...she stopped texting me for 4 Days. She cancelled a date we had on Wednesday cause she felt sick, and told me she’ll text me later. She didn’t.

Told me that I’m not her boyfriend.....

Holy fucking shit. You definitely got a lesson here. This girl was unstable. And manipulative.

Here's the real takeaway for you. It's not that you can't ever text someone daily or whatever. The real rule of thumb with communications is, don't put important priorities on hold just to sit on your inbox or to send messagse back and forth when you need to be taking care of life, or when real life is going on right in front of you.

But this girl, fucking hell. The reason she went through that progression, I'm going to explain it because I have seen this too many times in my own life and all around me in the dating lives of other guys.

She didn't understand her own emotions.
She probably was honest in that she had feelings and wanted you to open up more.
Problem is, she's the kind of person who needs to really try something on before she knows it's not for her. She has to go to extremes and talk about being serious and basically play pretend with someone for a while and feel what it's like before she can truly understand how she feels about it.
She might be the kind of person who's only comfortable when the relationship is at odds and has conflict and drama. Or she might have only been able to discover it didn't fit, until she dragged you through all that.
Either way, this whole big fast push for intimacy, it's one of the hallmarks of a woman like this. The whole fast food, intense, 0-60 attraction, that's what you're going to see in these sorts of things that burn brightly and burn out quickly.
In the future, someone who comes off like this, is good for a fling at best. Problem is, they usually open up quick and start to demand an emotional connection. Just have to keep your wits about you and keep checking in with yourself. Those "sure things" that develop too quickly, are often too good to be true.
