Oh, hi, Mark...

Here's a little about me (This is an account I've made specifically for this to keep some anonymity.): 27 M. I own my own business. I love what I do. It's others' dream and it's my reality. Alas, I'm in a rut. The joy has evaporated just slightly. I'd rather stay in bed than work. To top this off, one of my good friends [28M] has gotten extraordinarily sick. But before we get too gray, let's back up...

I discovered success with women by failing miserably, by not being cool, by being a hard head. I didn't live on campus my freshman year nor did I drink so my only chances at getting laid were cold, daylight approaches.

I graduated and I became hardened -- no time for personal life, only work. My skills with cold openers made me great at sales and pitches. It was scary how it translated in its most basic sense -- create a desire, display a vacancy, demonstrate a result, set a price tag, and follow up regularly.

Doing business kills a part of the soul that has nothing to do with doing business.

With some recent setbacks and issues in my industry, I've felt the defeat a little bit more than I would have previously. "The world doesn't want me, it doesn't need me, I'll show them," I think to myself, as I rot, alone.

I don't speak to people, anymore. I can't remember the last time I smiled at somebody or something that wasn't bringing me money. This, I must fix.

My plan: Approach, at least, THREE WOMEN A DAY -- keyword here is "day." This will continue for the duration of the Holiday season beginning with Black Friday and ending with New Year’s Eve. I want to believe that I can connect to people again. The math here is 3 approaches a day over a 37 day period. I subtract a few days where I'm working 12 hours a day, so 4 over the course of December which puts me at 33 days, 3 approaches minimum, so I'm aiming for 100 COLD, DAY TIME APPROACHES.

Here's how I'll do it... I go about my daily business. I'm going to take myself and my work into the public sphere, again. I'll be approaching in a variety of situations -- trains/subways, stores, coffee shops, parks, streets. You name it. For example, rather than sitting alone for lunch, I’ll make attempts to eat with other people. Rather than sitting alone at the park, I’ll sit with others. You get the idea…

One rule: NO BARS, NO PARTIES, NO ALCOHOL. Daytime social events unrelated to WORK are a go, as long as I go with only one other person and do not consume alcohol.

I’ll be posting everything here, even the days that I am working the 12 hours of light to keep me honest and disciplined. Even if nobody sees this. I will provide evidence as needed on the condition of anonymity.

I have no idea how this will turn out. I don’t expect anything but I do know I’ll make it. This begins November 24, 2017. AUDENTES FORTUNA IUVAT.
