Men who’ve begun pick up at the mall, what’s your mindset and routine?

I usually go for the less is Moore approach. Mostly hang out on the benches near the closest forever 21 or hot topic. I'll try and move between the two to avoid any unwanted attention from security. I use my position as a local DA to neutralize the big age gap. If a girl is there with her mom I'll make sure to have her mom's permission. If things don't go well I just let the girl know that no one will believe her over me. Hen I just creep onto the next...some of be times, it works all the time!

As a backup, when the mall gets too hot, I'll check out dance recitals and try and chaperone a prom or two...

Just find some girl who isn't with a group of friends and make up conversation. Like, if she's shopping for clothes bump into her and say you're looking for some clothes for your sister for her birthday, and she's the same size, so could she recommend. Then ask why that dress, blouse, etc. and ask if she'd like to join for coffee.
