Not being drunk is not an excuse; you will fail 100% of the time if you don't try. It is okay to fail but you need to try. I personally feel my game is much stronger sober than drunk. As for their motives, it is hard to tell doesn't seem like you were communicating with them other than dancing which is a positive thing.

I have experienced a similar situation before, but in my case, I took the 2 girls over to this booth in the corner of the club where we had a few drinks and chatted. Then after about an hour, I asked them if they wanted to come back to my place to have more drinks and go skinny dipping in my pool. The rest of the night goes on as you would expect.

I think you realize you missed your opportunity but the plus is next time this happens which is uncommon you will know you need to do something different. Hard to say what you will need to do next time as it will partially depend on the girls that approach you.
