She may just be craving attention. She doesn't need it at home so she doesn't text but she enjoys it when you're around. I would ease off the pedal for both and see what happens.

I have the opposite problem. this girl is very clingy and needy in text, but in person she acts cold/distant. I'm thinking of just flat out blowing her off in person and texts. Since I feel disrepcted in person.
