What you really want is not some quick fix band-aid, but a social life that exposes you to new people, including new girls, on a regular basis. Add some variety to your social life. Get out there. And there are so many options:

Hash runs. Trail running + beer + fit people = win
Couchsurfing meets. Hang with travelers and people who like to be around travelers.
Social partner dancing. Salsa, Lindy Hop, West Coast Swing, Argentine Tango, etc. You really can't go wrong. Learn something fun and have an excuse to be close to a girl in a fun and non-threatening way. (Just respect it as an activity & means of self-improvement first, and place to meet women second.)
Download the Meet-up app. Scan for groups near you that you share an interest with.
Browse Facebook Groups and Events in your area in connection to things you find interesting. Find a group to regularly join up with.

The overall idea is, your social life shouldn't just be vital and dynamic when you're single and doing pick-up. You should have a good social life as a default, preferably with two or more solid social circles that you can rotate between.

If you wait until the end they've already hooked up or paired up with dudes....

False. Dating pools are constantly changing, as are social circles. A lot of relationships end as one or both people are heading to different places after the school year ends. Some will end things early. In general, a lot of things are always changing. End of the year is fine.

Some have been picky all year or held up from socializing until the end for whatever reason. But confirmation bias may leave you thinking that "all the single girls have been paired off."
