Let's be honest here. You weren't blind when you met her. So unless she went through some sort of massive makeover or you were in a relationship when you met or something, you already knew she was attractive to you from the day you met her.

And you've been likely just making excuses not to act until now.

You're thinking too much.

You should just be talking to people in class. You're in a class with them? So you talk to them about the class. Talk to him. Talk to her. Talk to them if they're walking together or not.

In any case, you don't KNOW her. She might be lame. How about backing up the train and getting to first things first? Drop your expectations and start socializing and getting to know people before you decide you want to date them.

This question is pointless. Attractiveness is subjective. Have you ever been in a room full of guys trying to decide on who is a "10?" There's never any consensus. One man's "10" is another man's "6" or "7." And one guy's "10" is usually put down as a "6" or lower.

So all you can really say is whether you think he is attractive. And your preferences don't determine hers. So the whole thought exercise is a waste of time.

You just get your ass in there and interact with her and she'll reveal her preferences.
