I'm using a throwaway, for this but whate-ever. As I just read through an old post that says if you want to lose your virginity, you have not care about sex at all, which is an interesting perspective. It sounded weird at first, but I agreed with it later. As someone who himself is a virgin, albeit more attractive than most of them, I struggle with this on a bit.

Sometimes, when I see other youg couple or just guys with girls, I get a bit sad inside which leads to tons of moments of self doubt. However, at other times, I couldn't care less about sex at all, and if I died tomorrow, wouldn't care that I never took part in the act of sex at all. I'm not socially stunted, autistic or anything like this, as I have a decent sized social circle, and I work out 4 times a week, hence a decently attractive physique. I also have approached tons of women and have gotten numbers and a few dates, but little action elsewhere. I just don't know why I can't get past the fear of succeeding.

Maybe the fact is that I'm scared to escalate, or bluntly, to accept being attractive and escalate. Hell, sometimes when I get IOIs from a girl, I just shut down and my brain or myself just can't accept the fact that someone who is attractive would have interest in me. I either start panicking, or just sweating and don't make eye conatact even when the girl is giving me consistent contact. I had a decent childhood, supportive (overbearing at times, but otherwise fine), but maybe it's abandonment issues since until recently most of the friends I made throughout my life dropped me or just ghosted no me including my best friend since grade school. I've seen and talked to professionals about it and that has helped, but I guess the main part is just being afraid of success. Hell, at times I sabotage my thinking my saying, oh she's just being polite, or it's meant for someone else. So, how can I get over my fear of succeeding with women?

Tl;dr; decently attractive male who is still a virgin, but gets decent attention but doesn't know how to escalate and succeed with women.
