I have a friend, who works as a confidence coach, and he tries to 'close' EVERY stranger he meets.

No matter how long he spoke to them for, no matter how irrelevant they appear to his life, he tries to add them on Instagram.

Perhaps unsurpringsly, this is usually even more awkward than number-closing the stunner in the cocktail dress.

After realising he does this to EVERYONE, I asked "Why?!"

He told me: "The most important moments when meeting a hot girl is the 'open' and the 'close', so I want to get as much practice with both of these as possible."

It makes sense.

If you stutter over your words or hesitate while going for a girl's contact details, it could ruin all your previous good work.

Yet, because this guy has had SO much practice closing (even when it's super-awkward and makes zero sense), he's not EVER stumbling over the number-close with the girls he actually wants to speak to again.

As a bonus, he's also built a pretty strong Instagram following haha.
