This appears to be a common sticking point for 'intermediates' in night game.

I've spoke with loads of guys who have mostly overcome approach anxiety and can hold a conversation just fine, but struggle to be as fun and energetic as the drunk dudes in the venue.

This is especially common to guys who identify as 'chill' or 'laid back'.

Having been a teetotal night game guy for four-and-a-half years, I thought I'd share three things that help me become more energetic and fun in the club.

1. Social momentum

Even after so many years as a sober single guy in the club, I can still feel stifled before and as I enter the venue.

The best way to overcome that is to TAKE ACTION. Take action as soon as possible.

Whoever is in front of you in the queue, speak to them.

Whoever is the first person you see in the venue, speak to them.

It only needs to be 10 seconds, or however long you feel comfortable with. Then, the next person and the next. However many it people takes to realise that talking to strangers isn't that embarrassing and they're not going to hurt you (as dumb as that sounds, this is what your brain is telling you).

It doesn't need to be a hot woman at this point. In fact, it'll help you in the long run if you're seen in the club as the social guy who talks to everyone. The more people you talk to, the more you lose the inhibitions surrounding approaching people, the more fun and energetic you become.

2. Pushing your comfort zones

There's something about approaching the 'difficult' sets that gives me a tiny adrenaline spike.

Do that a few times at the start of a night. These tiny adrenaline spikes and the pride you feel for even having the balls to approach will help you feel amazing for the rest of the night.

This is great for getting rid of your inhibitions too, making the 'easy' sets seem even easier - and allowing you to feel more fun and energetic at the end of the night when they're ready to be pulled.

3. Enjoy the opportunity to express

As sad as it is to admit, there are certain social rules and conventions that limit what's OK to stay to a stranger during the daytime.

In a nightclub, these rules pretty much all go out the window, so ENJOY that freedom. PUSH the boundaries. You'll probably be surprised how far you can go. (Just make sure to calibrate if you go too far).

I really LOVE pushing the boundaries in nightgame. It's so fun. There aren't many other environments where you can say what you want. Girls respond really well to people who express freely too. (provided you can be relatable when needed)

HERE'S WHAT I LEARNED ABOUT ALCOHOL

The only positive thing about alcohol (in game, anyway) is that it makes you lose you inhibitions - but these three tips all really help with that too. Numb your inhibitions enough and you'll find yourself naturally being naturally as fun and free-flowing

Without these inhibitions, you'll find it much less of a struggle to

  • SPEAK LOUD
  • BE PHYSICAL
  • GO FOR THE PULL

Pretty much all night game sticking points can be solved by getting rid of these blocks.
