I met a girl through a mutual friend. She told me that she wanted to go out with me. I made it blatantly (but implicitly) clear that I was interested in going on a date with her, and she seemed to understand that it was a date (and acted like it was one throughout the date). She texted me more than a few times about how she was always free and wanting to see me, and offering places. We went out for coffee and talked a bit, I kinoed. I tried to k-close, but she shut me down. I thought she shut me down because we have a mutual friend and didn't want word to get out or something.

After the date, she tells me that she had a lot of fun, and she asks me out again. She really flirty and so am I. We reschedule for next week. However, Today, I texted her and I asked her if she was seeing anyone (just because, I don't know why) and she tells me that she is dating this one guy, which is another mutual of my friend (and I've had a few beers with before).She tells me that she thought I knew and hamstered some shit.

  1. Why did she ask me out then? Was it just for the thrill of rejecting me or making her boyfriend jealous, or she was interested in me...
  2. What do I do now?
