Date : 2018-12-26 12 PM – 3 PM Local

Location : Oxford Valley Mall, PA

Purpose: To practice stage one of the London Daygame Model -the Stop. To work on Voice being low and slow and indicating intent. To move through the first 1000 sets of pain.

Approaches: 20

Phone Numbers: 3

Audio recorded on Motorola Galaxy S5

On this excursion, I was focused on busting Approach Anxiety, Practicing the Stop part of the London Daygame Model. Anything else was gravy.

What Worked: Both Phone numbers came from Women who were seated. One at the food court, one near the escalator.

First Woman: 13 Minute set I used Tom Torero’s “You look very dreamy” opening line. She smiled and a conversation flowed naturally. Turns out she works at a school near me and there was good rapport. We vibed on Education. I kept good focus on the voice during this conversation.

To the second lady I said she looked beautiful and it was her hat. I said “That hat makes you look Russian” She said she was from South America so I switched into Spanish and asked her where she was from. She was Peruvian, but now living in Virginia. She was visiting Philly and used to live here. I got her phone number and told her to call me when she’s coming back.

What Else Worked: Don’t forget to warm up. When you start, go tell any woman you can stop that she looks nice, and then expect nothing else. Do at least 5 warm ups. I smiled at an older woman, she smiled back. When she came out of the store, I told her that she had a great smile and we started talking. Later when I was taking a break at the food court, I sat with her and her sister. It was a nice conversation and took my mind off the pressure.

What I could have done better: I bailed out of two sets. One was a British woman who was buying a vape refill at a Mall Kiosk. I talked to her while she was waiting. Once the clerk came to help her, I felt awkward and slunk sheepishly away. I could have covered by acting like I was in line and held the frame. The second was a woman with colored braids and a full Arm Tat… Got swamped into too much hairdresser conversation and not enough stacking.

Opened a woman sitting on a bench and one of her small shopping bags fell to the ground. I picked it up and said here you go. Then said she looked beautiful with the way the sun was in her har. She said she was from Jersey; couldn’t make a strong stack and bailed. Should have used the bag as a chance to tease her and say “Do you always throw your stuff on the ground.” Picking up looked too beta.

Other Notes: Opened two married women who weren’t wearing their rings.

Learnings:

· Need to continue to work hard on speaking low and slow.

· Ensure that I don’t ask any yes/no questions before the Hook. Follow the LDM and make assumptions to build the stack. Work on Stacking next time.

· Sometimes women coming out of a store are an easier perpendicular stop as compared to a full Yad Front Stop.

· Warm up – the worst is the first.

· The whole way there you’ll be wondering why you are doing this, but after the first set they quiet down.

· Be more aggressive. You’ll never come home and wish you were less aggressive. Learn to stay in Set.
