You know the feeling. You see that beautiful woman walking down the hallway at the office.

Maybe she’s the “new girl.” Maybe she’s not the new girl but has been giving you the eyeball: Perhaps “A little extra assistance here.” “A little too friendly there.”

Whatever the case may be - there’s a hot girl in your office, what do you do???

Well, step (1) is to listen. Women at the office share things freely. The office is a safe place where women are free to talk about their lives. Step (2) is to do something. And that something is what this post is all about.

We’re going to talk about the “I’ll Help You” Method. It’s how you get girls in the office WITHOUT EVER HAVING TO ASK THEM OUT.

As is the case with most top-level attraction, this technique is best delivered through a story.

Back in the day I took an internship in a CPA firm. You’re probably picturing bald men with thick glasses and pocket protectors. And there were plenty of those. But there was also something else. Fresh female college graduates starting their careers with the kind of enthusiasm that would light up your day, and the kind of racks that would light up your night.

One afternoon I was finishing up doing some mundane tasks (like hole punching shit to put in a binder or something equally stupid).

While I was standing there minding my own business, two of the junior accountants come walking over.

One was a real cutie (the one that all the senior accountants looked at while trying to hide their wedding bands), and the other was a dude.

They stopped nearby to sort out some paperwork, and I hear Sophie say to the dude: “so you gonna come over and help me paint or what?”

The dude starts hemming and hawing. He says “yes”, but can’t commit to a time. He backpedals and delays. Meanwhile, me and my hole puncher are just standing there listening.

After a minute or so, the dude basically fails to commit. Then he leaves. Now Sophie is standing there alone, doing whatever.

So I say: “Sophie, I’ll come over and help you paint.”

Now let’s back up for a second. I didn’t know Sophie. I knew her by name because we’d been introduced at some function. But prior to this moment I’d never had any significant interaction with her at all.

I also had no idea what kind of painting she had in mind.

All I knew was (1) she was the brunette that the entire “male portion of the office” was drooling over, and (2) she needed help with something.

So she turned, a little startled, and said: “Really?”

The question was genuinely skeptical. This makes sense because, again, she really didn’t know me.

And also, she’d never asked me directly for any help.

So I said: “Absolutely. You just tell me when and where, and I’ll be there.”

She got a big smile and took me up on the offer. We chatted for a few minutes. It turned out that she wanted to do some touch-up painting inside her condo. So that night I grabbed a 6-pack of beer and went to her place.

And guess what happened?

You got it: we painted and drank beer.

But we also laughed. And we joked. And she gave me ‘the grand tour’ of her condo.

Actually, I did most of the painting while she sipped beer watched me curiously.

Then, when the painting was done and the beer had dried up, I said: “c'mon, let’s go grab a drink somewhere.” She agreed.

Ten minutes later we were shooting pool and laughing it up and a nearby watering hole.

When I walked her to her car later that night, she was talking on and on about something. Right in the middle of the rant, I just leaned in and interrupted her with a kiss. And the best part was, she kissed me back.

After that, I dated that chick for a while, and the “entire male portion of the office” was jealous as hell.

So what are the takeaways from the story?

The first is that by offering to help with something, instead of “asking her out,” I bypassed a ton of hurdles.

For example, it’s possible that on a first date, a chick will bring you back to her place and give you the grand tour. But it’s also possible you won’t see the inside of her place for several dates to come.

With this approach, I was inside her house (checking out the bedroom - wink, wink) on the same day I first spoke to her.

The second is that by the time we got to the kiss, I had NEVER actually asked her out.

Right?

When did I ever really pop the question of “hey, want to go out?”

I didn’t.

I just offered to help her with something she needed, and transitioned that into a date without ever asking.

The “yes/no” hurdle of asking somebody out was completely bypassed. And bypassing that is a perfect office approach.

Even if she had said no to “getting a drink”, it wouldn’t be a rejection, because I never made my intentions clear. I could have just been a friend offering to go for drinks after we completed some tasks around her house.

And without a rejection, there’s nothing to get awkward about the next day at work.

So when you’re talking with cute girls at the office, keep an ear open for mentions of things that she might need.

It could be something around her house. Something with her car. Maybe an introduction she needs in a place you have connections. The possibilities are broad.

And when the opportunity comes along, volunteer your services. Then transition it into a “date,” without ever really asking.
