Been flirting with this girl at college. All casual, but I really like her. Text her way too much, things go stale, and I stop texting her, delete her contact to stop myself from obsessing. First week after summer vacation ended, keep a wide distance, make an L when walking in her direction, for my mind's sake. Friday, she sits next to me in the bus. "you haven't texted me" "Yeah, new phone, lost all contacts" I lie. She and grabs my phone and puts her number in again. Clear IOI. Start flirting again, but again, cover her with messages. "You should block me" I text jokingly. She calls me at midnight (phone was in mute) , text her to ask why, she'd fucking blocked me. Next day, she's with a friend, I ask her why she called me. "It was by mistake, sorry", and I "send you a text, but didn't reached you". "Yeah, I don't know why". So I redelete her contact and stay the fuck away (I must have creeped her, I think, better respect her space, I think) I notice she actively avoids me. I do the same in response (+0/+2 to protect my obsessing brain).

2 weeks pass. I'm talking on the campus bus with this other gorgeous girl (she has a bf, but we have same interests in GOT) and girl n°1 stomps my foot when getting off. 10 other people passed by me, only 1 stomp. GOT friend says it was clearly intentional. Next day I talk to her about she blocking me, and she says it's because of my joke, and I should have talked to her. "But I did talk to you". "Yeah" she says "but you leaved right away". I think she didn't want to admit she blocked me front of her friend that day. Later, she seems really angry at me still, she saw me talking with GOT girl on campus bus again, she sat as far as she could, even though all her friends were sitting next to me. I think she's pissed at me for not being man enough and keep pursuing her. Fucked up her silly joke, fucked up the game. I agree. I should have been brave, not a fucking craven. I think I missed my window of opportunity, but I'll cast the dice tomorrow. Better a clear no than the doubt.
