Seeing how this has been a somewhat recent topic of discussion I thought I'd post a first date report from yesterday. First of all, shouts to /u/thelongercon for the first date guide that came out a few days ago. I used that as my template and adjusted as the night went.

Went out for drinks, first bar it's trying to get to know each other and a little awkward. But I am giving mad eye contact and we have a few things in common. Next thing you know I'm a drink in and I realize I have to start physically escalating. First touch her hands, then her arm, then her back, and eventually our legs were tangled. Kissed at the next bar and went back to my place.

From there I knew she was actually someone I think there's real potential with so I told her I'd like to take it slow. This was after things got a little heated though haha.

But I followed a lot of the tips from first date guide and other common resources around this sub and now we have another date planned this week. In addition I got two numbers in the last week so I am keeping my options open and the abundance mindset.

I'd honestly say the biggest things were being confident, leading the way, and maintaining eye contact.
