I feel like 2 things are happening when girls give guys the "I HAVE A BF" line and they don't actually have a BF.

  1. They are seeing what type of guy you are/trying to see how bad you want them (Silly little girl game in my opinion)
  2. They are trying to tell you to fuck off in a nice way.

Personally, if a girl is doing the first and just trying to challenge me by LYING, she automatically goes into the one-night stand category or at most FWB if she's cool but, I will never take a girl like that serious based off of the standards I set for myself. That being said I always challenge it if I am attracted to the girl and she uses that line and if it turns out that she does actually have a BF and she actually likes the guy I leave her alone indefinitely because I wouldn't want anyone fucking up something good I had going on so I try not to do it to my fellow man. If she's not 100% about her guy she is currently seeing though then I might convince her that I'm what she needs instead. Also, if they have only been dating for like 3 months and she's not head over hills for the guy shes fair game to me. but, as I said earlier in regards to if she just uses that line to test me, the fact that she lied will only get her as far as FWB. (Don't ever play a woman's game. Play your own)

If a girl is saying she has a BF just to get rid of me. Meaning she's showing zero interest. I TAKE A THE FUCKING CLUE and leave her alone. It amuses me that guys keep pushing when a girl is clearly just NOT INTERESTED. LEAVE HER ALONE GUYS! There are 100s, 1000s, or 1000000s of her in your city move on and take the L like a man.

Just my thoughts. What do you guys think about girls using the "I have a BF" line and what do you guys do when you get it?
