Want to first thank this sub for guiding me on improving myself not only as a man but as a socially adept person. I've reached the point where I rarely come into this sub anymore but stop by from time to time while on the toilet or laying in bed unable to fall asleep. I'm having a slow week at work so just wanted to see if I can start a discussion.

Now I didn't quite track all my numbers of cold approach to phone number to date ratios. But I know for sure I've reached double digit relationships and obviously a lot of them didn't pan out into something long lasting. But that's not what I'm here to discuss.

From all my cold approaches, I've never developed any long lasting friendship. This is insane to me; probably a cold approach to friendship ratio of 500 to 0. There were girls I've dated who we both knew wasn't going to end up anything romantic but definitely developed a platonic interest in each other's hobbies and activities. The thing is after a few months, the friendship dies down. I understand these things happen and it's hard to make time for every single friend. I guess this goes back to the notion that at my age (34), it really is hard to make new friends.

Anyone on this sub have developed a strong friendship with a girl you met even though you expressed physical attraction initially? I am curious on this because there's always the advice floating around that if things don't work out with a girl romantically, it's great to develop new friendships but obviously that doesn't happen for me.
