I'm new to TRP

I've been friends with this girl for about a 6 months, and at first it was legit friendship. However I've started to like her, but I'm stuck in the friendzone now. I have no idea how to handle this. There are days when it seems like shes into me, and others when there is literally nothing between us.

I want to ask her out, should I cut talking to her for a week or so, or what do I do?
