It seems like every time I'm at a bar lately, I can't help but feel self conscious about every attractive woman in the venue. It makes me feel like absolute shit, especially since I'm primarily in bars with coworkers (all male) and bros, so working into a conversation with one of these women seems difficult or nigh impossible. I want to have a relaxed night, but there's this overwhelming pressure that I'm not measuring up to because A) there are hot women around and B) I'm not attracting them/talking to them. In the end, it is very bad for my self esteem.

Any advice is appreciated.

Some backstory: There really aren't any women/plates in my life right now and going to bars is a huge reminder of this. I'm working tons of hours at my job and studying for a certification to improve my career. When the hours die down, I make time for the gym and all the other TRP self improvement mantras, but I'd really like to cast off this self defeating mental state I seem to be in.
