Yes.

Do you have a room to smoke in so you're not using the whole house for it? Do you have a way of getting rid of the smell? Do you have a plan for making sure none of your asshole neighbors notice, and for disposing of the goods if police come knocking (note--don't use the trash)? These are just basic pot safety concerns. If you're covered as far as that goes and you pay your fair share of the rent then just explain your planning to the waifu and tell her that if she's still got an issue at this point then it's more her problem than yours. Ideally with pipe in hand.
